An alumnus of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, is offering up to three scholarships for high school seniors in Lake and Cook counties of Minnesota.
If your GPA is 3.70 or higher:
Zinter Scholarship – $26,000
Alumni Referral (due by 12/1/26) – 2,000
Early Application 2,000 (due by 11/15/26) – $30,000
If your GPA is 3.00 or higher:
Zinter Scholarship – $20,000
Alumni Referral (due by 12/1/26)- 2,000
Early Application (due by 11/15/26) – 2,000

Depending on the student’s GPA or test scores, the college awards up to $19,000 per year. This makes Concordia College in Moorhead competitive with most four-year Minnesota state colleges; sometimes it is less expensive.
There is a statistic that colleges compile called the retention rate. This is the percentage of students who begin college and graduate within four years or less.

- For Concordia College… about 65%
- Silver Bay students attending Concordia… 96%
This spring, Silver Bay has two students graduating from Concordia College, making a total of 50 Silver Bay students graduating from Concordia over the years. Forty-seven of them graduated in four years or less. That is an amazing number. One factor is the six-hour drive to Moorhead, Minnesota; students can’t casually come home for supper or for weekends. They spend that time studying, making new friends, participating in numerous activities, etc. They have found a new home.
I am so sure you will want to attend Concordia after you have a campus tour that I am offering $400 to make the trip to Moorhead for a Concordia campus tour. If you attend the Christmas concert on the weekend of Dec. 4-6, 2026, I’ll give you $500 (total). The visitation offer expires on Dec. 15. You must call me for details before you go. I recommend you let me know two weeks in advance so I can help arrange the campus tour. Fargo/Moorhead has three colleges, and fall is a busy time of year.
