BRADLEY JAMES JONES

Bradley James Jones, age 57, passed away surrounded by his family on February 24th, 2024, after a courageous fight against a brief illness.

Brad was born on January 17th, 1967, to Paul and Nancy (Erickson) Jones in Two Harbors, MN where he grew up and attended school. A memory he always held close was working at his grandparents’ Korner store growing up. When Brad turned 18, he began his career as a proud member of Laborers Local 1091, his most memorable jobs being the years he spent drilling and blasting; and spending the past 27 years working for the City of Two Harbors, most recently in the Water and Gas Department where he was a proud AFSCME union member.

Brad married Janelle (Bianco) in 1996 in Two Harbors and they began to build their lives here. They started their successful business in 1998 with Jones Cleaning, now known as North Shore Management, and North on 61 vacation rentals.

Brad spent many years dedicating his time to his community. Serving on the Two Harbors City Council from 2003-2005 and then as a Lake County Commissioner from 2007-2015. He served on multiple boards and commissions throughout the county and region. Brad was a person who would always volunteer or help however he could. One of his great accomplishments he was very proud of was his continued sobriety for nine years.

Brad’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Macey and Brjen. He coached their soccer and hockey teams for many years. He would do anything for his children. Brad also had a great love for his dogs, especially the dog he had in his twenties, Quad. We know they are rejoicing at their reunion. In his free time, you would often find him tinkering with his equipment on his family property.

He was preceded in death by his Father-in-law Chester Bianco.

Brad is survived by his Wife Janelle, and their children Macey (Chad) Nordean, and Brjen Jones. His brother Gus Jones. His parents are Paul and Nancy Jones. His Mother-in-law Judy Bianco. Sister-laws, Karen Hoover, Debbie (Dennis) Beveridge, and Jody (Gary) Hepola. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends. And of course, his beloved dogs, Blu, Bella, and Baxter.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Lunch will follow at the Moose Lodge. To share a memory or leave an online condolence visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
