Richard “Dick” Svir, age 85, of Two Harbors, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on July 14, 2026.
Dick was born on August 20, 1940, in Greenbush, MN, to George and Emilia Svir. He was a hardworking businessman and familiar face in the Two Harbors community. Along with his late wife, Rita, Dick owned and operated Dick’s Pizza, where they welcomed generations of customers and built many lasting friendships.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Rita; and all eight of his siblings.
He is survived by his children, Julie (Alan), Rich (Sara), and Garett; grandchildren Ben (Catie) Peters, Mack Peters, Hallie, Nick, and Tyler Svir, and Finley Svir; and his great-granddaughter, Tilly Peters; his good friend Rosemary Walsberg, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dick will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many connections he made throughout his life and years in business.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
