JASON SCOTT FORSELL

February 13, 1979 – April 19, 2026

Jason Scott Forsell, 47, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2026, at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by the family who meant everything to him. Born on February 13, 1979, in Two Harbors, Minnesota, Jason built a life defined by loyalty, love, and an unwavering dedication to his wife and children.

Jason worked as a Quality Engineer at Raytheon and also served in the United States Army. He had a mechanical mind that could figure out anything, from rebuilding Jeep Wranglers to solving complex problems at work. If something needed to be fixed, built, or understood, Jason could do it.

Family was the center of Jason’s world. He was married to his wife, Kristin, for 17 years, and together they created a life full of adventure, laughter, and connection. His greatest joy came from being with his children, Alexander and Scarlett, building Jeeps together, going off-roading, exploring new places, and sharing the everyday moments that meant the most to him.

Jason loved fast cars, woodworking, and the freedom of the open trail. He had a deep love for dogs throughout his life. His German Shepherd Bear, along with Ruby and Shadow, were his constant companions. He also carried the memory of his past dogs, Daisy, Gizmo, and Gidget, who each held a place in his heart.

Jason is survived by his wife, Kristin Forsell; his children, Alexander and Scarlett; his parents, Terry and Lori Forsell; his sister, Molly (Miguel) Careaga; and his nephews and niece, Weston, Cruz, Miguel and Olivia. He is also survived by his in-laws, Kelly (Bill) Moody, Patrick (Nicolette) Nieman and sister-in-law Karenna (Ryan Cheslak) Nieman, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Jason’s family will carry his spirit forward in the work he taught them, the adventures they shared, and the strength he showed every day.

There will be a Celebration of Life on July 8, 2026 at the Two Harbors Community Center, 417 South Avenue, from 11 AM – 2 PM.
