NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON A REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAND USE ORDINANCE OF LAKE COUNTY, MINNESOTA.

Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commission­ers on March 11, 2024 at 1:30 PM, in the Law Enforcement Center; 613 3rd Ave, Two Harbors, MN 55616 at which time interested parties shall have the opportu­nity to discuss the granting of the following request:

In accordance with Article 25 of Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, this re­quest, if approved, would allow relief from the shoreline structure setback to rebuild a grandfathered structure and convert it from a cabin into a garage with a roof expansion (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03) and to expand a non-conforming cabin with additions of a dormer and covered deck; the cabin modifications also require relief from the structure setback for an unclassified water­course with a defined bottom (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.04). The property in question is located at 5774 Lax Lake Rd., Silver Bay MN 55614 and is legally described as Outlots 5-6 & 7 of Govt Lot 5, Section 12, Town­ship 56, Range 8, 1.0 acres, zoned shore­land R-R/Residential-Recreational District, one-acre minimum, Beaver Bay Township. PID: 26-5608-12584.
