Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commissioners on September 21, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the Law Enforcement Center, 613 Third Avenue, Two Harbors, MN 55616, and streaming at the Fall Lake Town Hall, 393 Kawishiwi Trail, Ely, MN 55731, at which time interested parties shall have the opportunity to discuss the granting of the following request:
In accordance with the Lake County Subdivision Ordinance, an application to plat land has been filed by Silver Rapids Resort, LLC, which, if approved, would allow the conversion of an existing resort to a commercial Planned Unit Development. The property is described as: Parcel One: Government Lot Three (3), except the westerly four hundred feet (400’) thereof, Section Thirty-two (32), Township Sixty-three (63), Range (11). Parcel Two: Part of Government Lot Five (5), Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Sixty-three (63), Range Eleven (11), LESS and EXCEPT that portion thereof described as follows: Assuming the south boundary of said Lot 5 to lie due east and west, and beginning at an iron pipe which is the SW corner of said Lot 5, run North 01 degrees 08 minutes 30 seconds East along the west boundary of said Lot 5 a distance of 406.00 feet to an iron pin; thence South 82 degrees 55 minutes 42 seconds East a distance of 430.91 feet to an iron pin; thence South 07 degrees 14 minutes 54 seconds East a distance of 355.72 feet to an iron pin which lies on said south boundary; thence due west along said boundary a distance of 480.22 feet back to the iron pipe which is the point of beginning, 60.2 acres, zoned shoreland RR/Residential-Recreational (Resort) on Farm/White Iron Lake, Fall Lake.
