V-26-004– Motion by Hoops supported by Wattunen approve the request with conditions for relief from the shoreline setback from a designated trout stream for an existing expansion to a nonconforming structure and to construct a deck (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 7.03A) filed by Terry Gydesen. The property in question is located at 2792 Drummond Grade, Two Harbors MN and is legally described as: THAT PART OF NE1/4 OF SE1/4 LYING E OF THE CENTERLINE OF CO RD 131 in Sections 28 & 29, Township 54, Range 11 36.96 acres, FR Forest Recreation, UT #2. PID 25-5411-29740/28560. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Wattunen voted in favor; none opposed.
V-26-005– Motion by Hoops supported by Wattunen to table the request until the next meeting on June 8, 2026 at 1:30 pm. The application request was for 1. relief from the frontage and acreage requirements to allow for two dwellings within the riparian zone including an existing nonconforming cabin and construction of a primary dwelling (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 7.06C) 2. relief from the shoreline setback to convert a nonconforming cabin into a guest quarter (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 7.06D) 3. to allow for the change of use and improvement of a nonconforming cabin into a sauna (MN Statute 394.36 Sub. 4). filed by Kevin Jagielski & Tamara Imbertson.
