NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Silver Bay, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., at the William Kelly School Library in the City of Silver Bay, Minnesota, relating to the use of property tax abatement for grants made under the Silver Bay New Home Grant Program and as outlined in the Silver Bay Cooperative Abatement Plan. City Abatements together with abatement contributions from the County and School will fund $124,042 in grants, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1812 to 469.1815, inclusive, as amended. The total amount of city tax abatements will not exceed $78,962 and will be collected over a period of not more than fifteen (15) years, commencing with taxes payable in 2025. The following tax parcels are proposed to be included in the proposed tax abatement:

Copies of the Abatement Resolution as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Administrator at City Hall.
All interested persons may appear at the hearings and present their views orally or in writing.
