Rocking the Family Tree – With a Twist

How wonderful it is to connect through music. In fact, you never know who you might meet when you attend a Music in the Park concert in Silver Bay. Two years ago, Rocky Wall Entertainment president Nelson French met Amy DesBles Sundem when she attended The 4onthefloor concerts in Silver Bay in 2024. They connected at the House Concert that year only to find that, unbeknownst to them, they are related. This past weekend at the Turn, Turn, Turn House Concert Nelson and Amy confirmed that Amy’s great-great grandfather (Sherman Queal French, Hawarden, IA) and Nelson’s grandfather (Leslie Ray French, Hawarden, IA) were brothers. That makes them Third Cousins Once Removed. They both obviously inherited the love for music gene.
