North Shore Health (NSH) is hosting an upcoming artists’ reception while seeking new submissions from local creators for its rotating art program.
Established in 2020, the NSH art program displays local artwork in public areas throughout the facility, rotating the exhibit every four months.
Artists’ Reception
Scheduled for Sept. 29
A reception honoring artists featured in the current June–September exhibit will take place Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the NSH Multi-Purpose Room and main lobby.
Members of the public are invited to view the artwork, meet the featured artists, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Call for Artists for
Fall/Winter Exhibition
NSH is accepting applications from local artists for its upcoming exhibition, which will run from Oct. 5, 2026, through Jan. 29, 2027. Selected works will be displayed in high-visibility areas for patients, visitors, residents, and staff.
Submitted artwork should reflect the cultural, historical, geographical, or community identity of Cook County and the North Shore. Organizers note that pieces should convey a sense of peace and nature suited to a healthcare environment.
Applications are due by Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026.
Application Requirements
Interested artists must email the following materials to Danielle Hefferan at Danielle.Hefferan@northshorehealthgm.org:
• A letter of interest detailing relevant experience and vision for the submitted work.
• Specifications for each piece, including dimensions, framing, and display mechanics.
• The total number of works submitted for consideration along with digital images of each piece.
• Contact information (phone number and email address).
• A statement confirming review and acceptance of the program’s Ownership & Use terms.
