Two Harbors, Minn. – Lake View Hospital is proud to have earned two awards from the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA).
Recently, the MHA recognized 40 health system teams and individuals from across the state for innovations, commitment to quality, and dedication to patient care. Lake View Hospital was proud to accept two awards: Dietary Department of the Year, and Organizational Culture, Infrastructure and Commitment.
“We are honored to have received these awards,” Lake View Hospital President Greg Ruberg said. “We are deeply committed to those we serve. For the culture award specifically, 10 years of hard work and dedication from our caring team led to making this achievement possible.”
The award for Organizational Culture, Infrastructure and Commitment is given to those whose actions through employee engagement committees, creative uses of HRIS systems, and strategic planning (retirement planning, workforce needs assessments) demonstrate a high level of work.
The Dietary Department of the Year Award recognizes the contributions made by a dietary department to improve the health and well-being of patients through the overall dining experience and enhance patients’ health experience. The award recognizes the exceptional performance in serving nutritious and well-presented meals, and provides a high level of service during the dining experience.
“It is very exciting for our team to be recognized in this way,” Lake View Manager of Nutrition Services Laura von Goertz said. “We’re a small but mighty department, balancing a lot of different services out of our kitchen, and it’s a privilege to be able to care for our patients, employees and community members with nutritious, tasty food. We’re proud of the work we do.”
