SOFTBALL
Cook County
Cook County had another postponed game and will need to meet up with Barnum at a later date. They played Silver Bay on April 21, with results to be reported in a future issue. They were scheduled to face South Ridge on April 23. The Vikings are booked for a home game next week against McGregor at 4:30 on April 28.
Two Harbors
The Agates took on Esko at Esko on April 16 and lost 20–1. Later that same day, they hosted Moose Lake–Willow River and fell 13–0. Their game against Proctor was postponed. They turned things back around against Duluth Marshall at Wade Field on April 20, winning 7-6.
Two Harbors also faced Barnum on April 23. They will get another chance to play Cromwell‑Wright at home on April 27 after the original matchup between the two teams was postponed.
Silver Bay
The Mariners are on a roll. After winning their opening games on April 10, they picked up their third win against Moose Lake–Willow River at home, 17–5. At McGregor, they again put up 17 runs, this time winning 17–3.
They were scheduled to play Cook County on April 21, then travel to Mountain Iron‑Buhl the following day before returning home to host Floodwood on April 23. Results will be reported in a later issue.
BASEBALL
Cook County
The Vikings were slated to play South Ridge on April 23. Their next matchup is at Carlton/Wrenshall on April 27, followed by a home game against McGregor on April 28.
Two Harbors
The Agates have had a tough start to the season. After several postponed games, they traveled to Pine City on April 11 and lost a close one, 5–2. On April 16, they played a doubleheader, falling to Esko 14–2 and Moose Lake 24–7. A game at South Ridge on April 17 didn’t yield much luck either, ending in a 15–5 loss. Their game against Proctor on April 20 was postponed.
Two Harbors is set to host Barnum on April 23, then Cromwell‑Wright at home on Monday, April 27, at 4 PM.
Silver Bay
The Mariners’ game against Northwoods on April 14 was postponed. They took on Littlefork‑Big Falls on April 17 in an early morning matchup and came away with a 15–10 win, keeping their undefeated season alive.
They played Carlton/Wrenshall on April 21, with results to be shared in a future issue. Silver Bay travels to South Ridge on April 28 for a 4 PM game.
