September 11, 1970 – May 29, 2023
Zandra was born September 11th 1970 in Mission Hills, California, daughter of Hilton and Nancy (Hopper) Hazel. She grew up in Oklahoma where she attended Carl Albert High School and attended business college.
In 1994 Zandra moved to Two Harbors where she resided for many years. Zandra made a huge impression on the community of Two Harbors. She spent many years as a Girl Scout leader. During her time in Two Harbors she worked for Northern Pine Girl Scouts, First Solution and United Health Care. She later moved to Atwater, Minnesota and married Garylee in 2020.
Zandra had many hobbies. Some that included a cake business, Kessler Kakes, Coca-Cola collecting, American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Riders and writing short stories. She had a very intelligent artistic mind.
Zandra has three children that she would talk about any chance she was given, Shelby, Chrisstie and Thomas. She has many grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She loved spending time with and spoiling them.
Whether you knew her by Zandra, Zandy, Zan, Zee or Red she made a lasting impression on many lives. Those relationships she created over her short 52 years will leave a lifetime lasting impact. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Zandra in Spicer, MN on June 17th at the American legion from 11-3pm. There will be a second Celebration of Life on July 2nd in Two Harbors at the Lake View Memorial Park from 11:30-4pm.
