Taylor Ellen Cardinal, 32, Two Harbors died unexpectedly at home on Saturday July 18, 2026, after a long battle of kidney disease.
Taylor was born to Kip and Nancy (Carlson) on September 6, 1993 in Duluth and was a lifelong resident of Two Harbors. She graduated in Duluth, Class of 2012. Taylor enjoyed her photography, spending time with all the babies she took care of through the years, and spending time with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her cousin Beau Cardinal; uncle Carl Carlson; paternal grandfather Joseph Cardinal; maternal grandparents Robert and Carol Carlson; and uncle Kenny Yates.
She is survived by her parents Kip and Nancy; brothers Mike (Colleen) and John (Bobbie); sisters Heather and Stacie-Aiden and Braiden Scholar; paternal grandmother, Ione Cardinal; aunts and uncles Mike (Sue) Cardinal – Lyndsy, Wanda (David) Eimer – David, Chad and Stephanie, Bobbi (Jamie) Hedin – Terry and Tanya, Debbie Carlson – Renae, Lynn (Chuck) Mead – Ryan and Trish, Rebecca Carlson – Kasey, and Roberta Yates – Cheyenne; nephews Nicolas and Travis Turner, Caleb and Matthew Highland, and Dominic Highland; and her special friends Skylar (Jon) Remmie, Sanford, Shiann, Margo, and Thomas, Michelle Schulk, Mckenna, Joven, Paisley, Adeley, Neriah, Kyrielle and Laguna, Lei Lani Merritt – Ambrose and Amelia, Danielle (Ethan) Olson – Braxton, Colton, Addison and Joesph, Molly O’Meara Tucker and Oliver, Katie Dugas, and Nicole Phipps – Rylan and Carter.
Funeral will take place on August 16, 2026, at Knife River Lutheran Church with Visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM service follows at 2:00 PM.
