Susan L. Sterling “Napa Sue”, 64, of Silver Bay, died unexpectedly while on vacation with her family on May 4, 2024.
She was born on October 6, 1959, in Minot, ND to Jack and Audrey Sterling. Sue grew up in Brainerd, MN before returning to North Dakota after college. While working at a NAPA store in North Dakota, Sue earned her nickname, “NAPA Sue”. Moving to Silver Bay in 1989, NAPA Sue began working for Nord’s Auto Supply. In 2001, Sue purchased the business, renaming it Sterling Auto Parts which she operated until her death.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Larson; daughter, Jackie (Drew) Marciniak; son, Austin Larson; and sisters, Nancy, Peggy, and Barb.
