November 23, 1960 – October 23, 2026
Susan Ann Scheradella, 65, of Silver Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
Susan was born November 23, 1960, to William and Marjorie Jepperson in Two Harbors. She grew up in Silver Bay and graduated from William Kelley High School. While working in Lutsen, she met Rick Scheradella, and the two were married in 2003. Together, they ran the Lemon Wolf Cafe in Beaver Bay, with Rick as chef and Susan as baker and server. Following Rick’s passing in 2018, Susan continued to run the cafe on her own until selling the business a few years later. Susan was currently working at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay and was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Susan was an internationally recognized artist, treasured worldwide for her beautifully handcrafted collectible teddy bears. A lifelong animal lover, her home was always full of pets, and she dearly loved her current dogs, Tinsel and Tabitha, and her bird, Monk.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, William Jepperson, and her husband, Rick.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Jepperson; her sons, Travis (Amy) Dahle and Joshua (Cori) Dahle; her beloved grandchildren, Hayden, Olivia, and Addison Dahle; her sisters, Paulette (Robert) Dobson and Pamela (Alden) Parker; her brother, Steven (Patty) Jepperson; her mother-in-law, Marlene Scheradella; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Silver Bay. Burial will take place at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back at the church.
