MAVIS LOUISE WILLIAMS (December 10, 1936 – June 14, 2024)

Mavis Louise (Taylor) Williams, beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early hours of Friday, June 14, 2024.

Mavis was born at home in Randall, MN on December 10, 1936 to Andrew “Creed” Taylor and Mary (Bollin) Taylor. Mavis was the oldest of five children.

She graduated from Little Falls High School and went on to work in Minneapolis as a key punch operator for Prudential. She met Norman LeRoy Williams while living there and they were married on May 10, 1958.

Mavis was preceded in death by her husband Norman on January 13, 2023, siblings, MaryLou Nelson and her husband Robert, Francis Taylor and his wife Gaylene, Fred Taylor, and brother-in-law Jerome Wozniak. Also preceding her in death; parents, mother and father-in-law Carl and Edith Williams, in-laws Stanley Christians, Jerry Alexander, George Hetherington, Carl Williams and his wife Janet, Paul Williams and his wife Marie, Laurance Williams and his wife Jean, Wanda Williams, Robert Williams and his wife Carol, and Dale Williams and several nieces and nephews.

Mavis is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Brad) Alm, and Desiree (Pat) Lee, sister, Janet Wozniak, grandchildren Justin (Alanna) Lee, Aaron (Kristen) Lee, Monica, Amanda, Noah, Micah, and Jonah Alm. Great grandchildren Autumn and Jonathan Hughes, Gene Wilson, Maddox and Ryder Parker, Brentin and Brooks Lee and AJ (Arthur James) Lee, and in-laws Anna Christians, Loretta Hetherington, Carolyn and Art Reichstadt, Lloyd Williams, Deb Williams, Joanna and Russ Jones as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 28 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 at St. John’s Free Lutheran Church in Duluth, MN, 3601 W. Arrowhead Rd. with visitation one hour before the service.
