Florian R. Burger, 88, died Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors.
He was born on October 1, 1937, in Long Prairie, Minnesota, to Frank and Josephine (Burgraff) Burger. He grew up on the family farm on Lake Beauty. He attended schools in Swanville, graduating in 1955. On October 27, 1958, he married Delores Janey, and together they moved to Two Harbors in 1960.
Florian was employed at Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay from 1960 to 1986. He then worked for Midwest Timber (later Hedstrom) in Two Harbors until his retirement in 1999. Florian was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, and time with his family.
Florian was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores; daughters, Mary and Carol; brothers, Marvin and Floyd; and sisters, Alice, Mary Jane, Loraine, and Delores. He is survived by a son, David, and a brother, Lloyd Burger.
Memorial services for Florian will be held at a future date.
