Cindy “Grandma Crazy” Knaffla, Age 54, passed away on July 8, 2026 in Grand Rapids MN. Born on January 10, 1972 in Virginia MN. Cindy brought light and joy to everyone that knew her.
She was the beloved daughter of Alma Knaffla and the late Les Knaffla. Cindy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Miranda Wilson (Matthew) and son, David Wilson. She had a close bond with her sisters, Janet Goerdt (Jerry) and Diane Barfuss (Justin), as well as her cherished niece Shara Frye (Cory). Cindy was proceeded in death by her sister, Pam Knaffla and brother, Danny Knaffla.
Cindy’s love for the outdoors was a defining part in her life. She found joy in hunting for agates, building fires, and tending to her gardens. Her connection to nature reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Affectionately known as “Grandma Crazy” or “Aunty Crazy”, Cindy embraced these nicknames with pride and humor. Her family remembers her as a loving and caring presence who brought laughter in warmth into their lives.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 8th from 1-4pm at the Beaver Bay Community Center.
