Carol Jean Oling, age 81, of Duluth, died Friday, May 24, 2024 at Edgewood Vista, with her husband by her side.
Carol was born August 3, 1942, in Duluth, MN to Walter and Dorothy Netzel. She graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School in 1960. Carol was married on September 17, 1960 to John (Jay) Oling. Together, they raised four children in Two Harbors, MN.
Carol was very crafty and enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life. She also enjoyed traveling to the US in an RV with her husband, Jay.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dorothy Netzel, siblings James and Richard Netzel, and brother-in-law James Harris.
Carol is survived by her husband John, children Candice Fuhr, Kurt (Cheryl) Oling, Holly (Jim) Graham, Heather (Kevin) Brouse, seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Harris, and Steve (Maxi) Netzel.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at the Cremation Society of MN, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth MN 55807.
