Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commissioners on July 13, 2026 at 2:00:00 PM, in the Law Enforcement Center; 613 3rd Ave, Two Harbors, MN 55616, at which time interested parties shall have the opportunity to discuss the granting of the following request:
In accordance with Article 25 of Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, this request, if approved, would allow relief from the shoreline and Hwy 61 right-of-way setback to rebuild and expand a nonconforming cabin within the shore impact zone (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 6.01 & 7.03A). The property in question is located at 1734 Hwy 61, Two Harbors MN and legally described as That part of the Northerly One Hundred feet (N’ly 100 Ft.) of the Southerly Two Hundred feet (S’ly 200 Ft.) of Government Lot Three (3) Section Twenty-One (21), Township Fifty-Three (53) North Range Ten (10), which lies South and East of the centerline of United States Highway No. 61, containing (.4) four-tenths acres more or less.; 1.31 acres; shoreland R-4, Residential in the NSMZ on Lake Superior (General Development), Silver Creek.
