LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES TWO HARBORS LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER OCTOBER 21, 2024

 The Lake County Board of Adjustment sat in session at 1:00 p.m. on this date and conducted hearings and other business.

V-24-018– Motion by Hippert support­ed by Brodigan to approve the request with conditions to rebuild, increase the height, and alter the roofline of a nonconforming structure that is within the shore impact zone (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03A & Section 3, Article 3.79) filed by Jeffrey & Heather Moengen. The property in question is located at 9041 Cramer Road, Finland MN 55603 and is legally described as: N 22 acres of Lot 8 in Section 22. Township 59, Range 6 22.0 acres, zoned shoreland (Echo Lake), FR/ Forest Recreation District, 10 acre minimum, Unorganized Territory #1. PID 24-5906-22190. Motion carried, Brodigan and Hippert voted in favor; Fogelberg vot­ed opposed.

V-24-013– Motion by Fogelberg sup­ported by Brodigan to deny the request for relief from the shoreline and bluff setback to construct an addition onto a grandfa­thered cabin (Lake County Land Use Or­dinance #12, Article 7, Section 7.03A) filed by Gregory & Cynthia Heinemann. The property in question is located at 2093 Cliff House Drive, Two Harbors MN 55616 and is legally described as: Unit Two, Cliff House Commons, Common Interest Com­munity NO. 15 in Section 15, Township 53, Range 10 0.18 acres, zoned shoreland (Lake Superior), RC/ Resort Commercial District, 2 acre minimum, Silver Creek Township. PID 29-5357-00200. Motion carried, Fogelberg, Brodigan, and Hippert voted in favor; none opposed.

V-24-016– The request to allow an unpermitted deck to remain in the bluff im­pact zone and erosion hazard area of Lake Superior (Land Use Ordinance #12, Article 7.0, Sections 7.06 and 7.11) filed by Cliff Pointe Ventures LLC was withdrawn. The property in question is located at 1825 Cliff Point Road, Two Harbors MN 55616 and is legally described as: E 200ft of W 650 ft of Govt Lot 3 lying S of Centerline of US Hwy NO 61 in Section 22, Township 53, Range 10 2 acres, zoned shoreland (Lake Superior), R-4/Residential District, 2.0 acre minimum, Silver Creek Township. PID 29-5310-22400.

Motion by Brodigan supported by Fo­gelberg to approve the September 9, 2024 minutes as submitted. Motion carried, Fogelberg, and Brodigan voted in favor; Hippert abstained; none opposed.

Motion by Hippert supported by Fo­gelberg to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried, Fogelberg, Brodigan, and Hippert voted in favor; none opposed. Meeting adjourned
at 3:39 p.m.
