LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES LAKE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

The Lake County Board of Adjustment sat in session at 1:00 p.m. on this date and conducted hearings and other business.

V-23-013– Motion by Hoops supported by Hippert to deny the request for relief from bluff setback and shoreline setback requirements to a designated trout stream for an existing dwelling and deck (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, Article 7, Section 7.03). The request was filed by Beth Kelly for the property located at 5527 Midbrod Drive, Silver Bay MN 55614 and legally described as: NE-¼ of NW-¼ of SE-¼, Sec 21, Twp 56N, Rge 11W con­taining 9.86 acres more or less, subject to easements, as described in Document 141224 on file and of record in the Lake County Recorder’s Office; zoned shore­land (Palisade Creek), R-4/Residential District, 2-ac minimum, Beaver Bay Town­ship. PID 26-5607-21800. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

V-23-014– Motion by Hoops supported by Hippert to deny the request for relief from bluff and shoreline setback require­ments for an existing deck (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Arti­cle 7.03). The request was filed by T.Jef­ferson Properties LLC for the property located at 2398 Hwy 61, Two Harbors MN 55616 and legally described as: An undi­vided one-tenth (1/10th) interest, known as Time Share interests 1 and 3-10 in Parcel A, that part of Gov’t Lot 3, Section 12, Twp 53N, Rge 10W as described in Document C000021810; 1.9 ac, zoned R-4, shore­land to Lake Superior, Silver Creek Town­ship. PID 29-5310-12070. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

Motion by Hoops supported by Brodi­gan to approve the August 14, 2023 min­utes as corrected. Motion carried Hoops, Hippert, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

Motion by Brodigan supported by Hippert to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed. Meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
