The Lake County Planning Commission sat in session at 5:00 p.m. on this date and conducted hearings and other business.

I-26-016– Motion by B. Ernest supported by J. Ernest to recommend to County Board 1-year approval with conditions of an initial interim use application for a vacation rental home filed by Sasha Fjeran at 770 Airport Rd, Two Harbors MN. The property is described as: NE1/4 of NW1/4 in Section 27 Township 53 Range 11, 10 acres, zoned shoreland (tributary) R-1 Residential, Unorganized Territory #2. PID: 25-5311-27250.Motion carried; Hoops, Mayer, Bathke, J. Ernest, B. Ernest, Ellefson, and Guenthner voted in favor; none opposed.

PID: 28-6383-05200. Motion carried; Hoops, Mayer, Bathke, J. Ernest, B. Ernest, Ellefson, and Guenthner voted in favor; none opposed.

C-26-002– Motion by Bathke supported by B. Ernest to approve with conditions a conditional use application for indoor warehousing facility with outdoor vehicle storage filed by Iron Ridge Construction LLC at 2180 Hwy 12, Two Harbors MN. The property is described as: That part of NE1/4 of the NW1/4 lying N of DM&IR R/W exc E 50ft in Section 23 Township 53 Range 11, 1.24 acres, zoned shoreland (Farm & White Iron Lakes), RR/ Residential Recreation District, Fall Lake Township. PID: 28-6383-05200. .Motion carried; Hoops, Mayer, Bathke, J. Ernest, B. Ernest, Ellefson, and Guenthner voted in favor; none opposed.

C-26-003– Motion by Hoops supported by Guenthner to table a conditional use application for an amendment to existing CUP (C-21-019) allowing for expansion of current earthwork business operations which includes trucks entering/exiting, equipment loading/unloading, storage of aggregate, vehicles, and inventory; and development of a business park to include uses such as warehousing, office space, retail, storage and general business operations filed by JBL Industries LLC at 872 Stanley Rd, Two Harbors MN. The property is described as: all that part of NE ¼ of NE ¼ which lies NWly of R/W of US Hwy 61 as desc. in doc. no. A000162112; that part of NE¼ of NE¼ N & W of the new US HWY 61 exc 6.43 acres as desc. in doc. no. A000162112; that part of E½ of E½ of NW¼ of NE¼ lying SEly of the line as desc. in book 81 of deeds pg 775 and a portion of the parcel yet to be subdivided described as E1/2 of E1/2 of NW1/4 of NE1/4 lying Nly of the line desc in doc no A000160525 all in Section 10, Township 52, Range 11, 18.4 acres, zoned non-shoreland CR/Commercial-Rural, 2-acre minimum,, Unorganized Territory #2.
