V-26-007– Motion by Hoops supported by Wattunen to approve the request with conditions for relief from the shoreline setback to expand a nonconforming cabin (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 7.03A) filed by Robert E. & Catherine J. Iversen. The property in question is located at 14046 Chickadee Lane, Ely, MN 55731 and is legally described as: Outlot D of Lot 2 + that part of Outlot E of Lot 2 as desc in doc A000172682 & the vacated portion of Shady Lane adjacent to ALD lying NLY and NWLY of Outlot D of Lot 2 as desc in doc A164978 & that part of Outlot E as desc in doc A189070 & that vacated portion of Shady Lane lying WLY of said lot as per doc A164978 & 2.67 acres out of unplatted portion of Gov Lot 2 as desc in doc No 156073; 8.11 acres, shoreland RR, residential recreational on Fall Lake (Recreational Development), Fall Lake. V-26-008– Motion by Hippert supported by Wattunen to table the request for relief from the shoreline setback to expand a nonconforming cabin (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 7.03A) filed by Robert & Diana Heilig. The property in question is located at 1588 Driftwood Lane, Two Harbors, MN 55616 and is legally described as: Outlot 1, County Auditor’s Plat No.4, according to the recorded plat therefore, Lake County, Minnesota. Abstract property; 1.4 acres, shoreland R-4, residential in the NSMZ on Lake Superior (General Development), Silver Creek. PID 29-5367-29010.
V-26-009– Motion by Hippert supported by Wattunen to approve the request with conditions for relief from the shoreline and Hwy 61 right-of-way setback to rebuild and expand a nonconforming cabin within the shore impact zone (Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12 Section 6.01 & 7.03A) filed by Leslie & Judith Lindholm. The property in question is located at 1734 Hwy 61, Two Harbors MN and is legally described as: That part of the Northerly One Hundred feet (N’ly 100 Ft.) of the Southerly Two Hundred feet (S’ly 200 Ft.) of Government Lot Three (3) Section Twenty-One (21), Township Fifty-Three (53) North Range Ten (10), which lies South and East of the centerline of United States Highway No. 61, containing (.4) four-tenths acres more or less; 1.31 acres, shoreland R-4, residential in the NSMZ on Lake Superior (General Development), Silver Creek. PID 29-5310- 21500/21520/21640 & 29-5365-28050. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Wattunen voted in favor; none opposed.
V-26-010– The applicants withdrew their request for relief from the shoreline setback and the property line setback to add an addition to a nonconforming house (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03 & Section 14, Article 14.01E) filed by Scott & Melissa Magnuson. The property in question is located at 777 Kawishiwi Trail, Ely, MN 55731 and is legally described as: That part of Govt Lot 2 as desc in doc No A000182011 & Lot 16 + 0.07 acres of vacated roadway desc in doc A000181630; 0.6 acres, shoreland RR, residential recreational on Farm Lake (Recreational Development), Fall Lake. PID 28-6270-03140 & 28-6211-03275. Motion by Hippert supported by Wattunen to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Wattunen voted in favor; none opposed. Meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
