WHEREAS a Resolution has been passed by the Town electors at the Annual Meeting of the Town of Silver Creek on March 10, 2026 directing the Town to initiate an alteration of Flood Bay Road; and
WHEREAS Flood Bay Road currently extends 100 feet beyond its current legal description; and
WHEREAS a wider turnaround has been requested;
WHEREAS the Town Board has undertaken the procedure set out in Minn. Stat. § 164.06 and §164.07 to correct the legal Road Order for said road and alter it by widening its turnaround.
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Flood Bay road be altered as follows:
The Silver Creek Township Road “Flood Bay Road” No. 612 to be extended with Township Road turnaround and maintenance area, the last said point of termination being the Point of Beginning, described as follows: deflecting to the left at a right angle a distance of 33’; thence deflect to the right at a right angle a distance of 62’, more or less, to the south line of the N 1/2 OF NW 1/4 OF SW 1/4; thence continue northerly on last said line a distance of 38’; thence deflect to the right at a right angle a distance of 33’ to a point on the east line of said N 1/2 OF NW 1/4 OF SW 1/4; thence continue easterly on last said line a distance of 50’; thence deflect to the right at a right angle a distance of 48’; thence deflect to the right at a right angle a distance of 17’; thence deflect to the left at a right angle a distance of 17’; thence deflect to the right at a right angle a distance of 33’; to the Point of Beginning and there terminating on the existing Silver Creek Township “Flood Bay” Road.

Gary Molitor parcel 29-5310-29570
Kris & Anne Veiman parcel 29-5310-29505
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board, of the Town of Silver Creek, Lake County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on the 12th day of May, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room, located at 1924 Town Road for the purpose of hearing public concerns, considering, and acting upon the proposed alteration.
NOTICE OF RIGHT TO APPEAL
Affected landowners have right of appeal as provided in Minn. Stat. §164.07, to seek judicial review of damages, need and purpose if the Town Board does decide to alter the town road.
