Fatal Fall at Palisade Head May 27th Ruled Accident

On Wednesday, May 27, at about 5 p.m., the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a Ranger at Tettegouche State Park that they had found a body on the rocks at the bottom of the cliff at Palisade Head. The body was identified as Seth Pipho, a resident of Minneapolis.

The Sheriff’s Marine Unit and the Rescue Squad recovered the remains, and his body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Anoka County.

On June 12, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office released its final report after performing an autopsy. It found that Pipho’s death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries and a “fall from height,” ruling his manner of death an accident.
