MINNESOTA — RideMN1 Inc., a nonprofit cancer awareness organization, is set to begin its annual cross-state bicycle tour on Saturday, September 6. Carrying a message of hope and the importance of early cancer screening, a team of 30 dedicated cyclists will travel 422 miles from Karlstad/Robbin to Two Harbors, arriving on Saturday, September 13.
The riders, who hail from five different states, will spend a week traversing the Minnesota landscape, with overnight stops in Warroad, Baudette, Littlefork, Orr, Side Lake, and Hoyt Lakes. More than a scenic tour, the event delivers a powerful message: “We Are Biking To End Cancer”. This dedicated group, many of whom are senior but in excellent physical condition, are motivated by a shared spirit of giving.
“We want people to know that we are winning,” said a RideMN1 spokesperson. “New diagnostics and treatments are becoming available at an ever-increasing rate. While the fight is hard, with new advancements and community support, we will never stop.”
The organization encourages everyone to support the riders they see along the route with a wave and a honk. The public is also reminded of RideMN1’s central message: GET SCREENED!
