NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

on

APPROVAL OF PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the School Board of the Lake Superior School District No. 381, will hold a public hear­ing on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., at the William Kelly School Library in Silver Bay relating to the use of property tax abatement for grants made under the Silver Bay New Home Grant Program and as outlined in the Silver Bay Cooperative Abatement Plan. School Abatements to­gether with abatement contributions from the City and County will fund $124,042 in grants, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1812 to 469.1815, inclusive, as amended. The total amount of School District tax abatements will not exceed a total of $9,020 and will be collected over a period of ten (10) years, commencing with taxes payable in 2025. The following tax parcels are proposed to be included in the proposed tax abatement:

Copies of the Abatement Resolution as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the district office.

All interested persons may appear at the hearings and present their views orally or in writing.
