Two Harbors, MN — The Lake County Historical Society (LCHS) is thrilled to announce the inaugural season of Photography at the Depot, a summer-long celebration of North Shore photography. This new rotating exhibit series will feature the work of three talented regional photographers inside the historic Duluth & Iron Range Depot.
Exhibit Schedule:
May 27 – June 30: Travis Novitsky
July 1 – August 31: Hayes Scriven
September 1 – October 20: Adam Malmanger
“We’ve been evaluating our programming at the Depot, and this initiative brings fresh, engaging content throughout the summer,” said Ellen Lynch, Executive Director of LCHS. “The North Shore is home to many gifted photographers who often capture the region’s rich landscapes and historic structures—we’re excited to provide a platform for their work.”
Each exhibit will open with a public artist reception, giving visitors the opportunity to meet the photographers and learn more about their creative processes.
The first featured artist, Travis Novitsky, is a lifelong resident of the North Shore and a proud citizen of the Grand Portage Anishinaabe Nation. His exhibit, “Spirits Dancing,” showcases his stunning night sky photography, with images drawn from his acclaimed book of the same name, published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press.
