Oddz & Endz in Grand Marais Distributes Over $170,000 to Other Non-Profits

Oddz & Endz, a non-profit thrift store in Grand Marais, announced that it will distribute its 2024 profit of $173,731.64 to 22 Cook County Non-profits.

Operated 100% with volunteers, 45 adults, seven middle school parents, and six middle school students donated more than 8,000 hours in the store’s community building mission last year. The store’s mission is to provide a place for people in the Cook County community to donate usable household goods, sell those goods at accessible prices, and distribute annual profits to local community non-profits. The volunteers direct distributions to recipients of their choice, and the distribution amount is based on the number of hours they’ve volunteered. Each volunteer may designate up to five Cook County nonprofits currently and actively pursuing their beneficial missions in the community.

The store received more than 2,400 donations of usable goods and resold those items in roughly 17,233 transactions.

The middle school students and parents generated almost $7,000 for a March school trip to Washington, DC.
