The Northwoods Fiber Guild will host their annual Holiday Sale & Open House on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at the Grand Marais Art Colony’s Studio 21, located at 21 West Highway 61 in Grand Marais, Minnesota. This sale is a well-known tradition along the north shore featuring quality one-of-a-kind fiber crafts handcrafted by guild members. The doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with tasty treats, fiber demos, take-home craft kits, music, and plenty of holiday spirit.
A beautiful evergreen tree filled with fiber ornaments greets shoppers each year, and the NFG artists get to demonstrate their weaving, spinning, and felting skills. Everyone is invited to learn more about the fiber crafts, which has become a popular activity for all ages.
There is a wide variety of fiber handcrafts at the Holiday Sale this year including knitting, weaving, felting, quilting, basketry, and birch bark craft. There will be handwoven rugs, wall hangings, paper art, homemade cards, beadwork items, felted sculptures, and of course scarves, hats, mittens, socks, plus other unique clothing and accessories.
Join in the fun at the upcoming Holiday Sale and Open House on December 2nd. There will be take-home craft kits for kids & adults plus decorative gift boxes and wrapped holiday treats for shoppers. Credit cards and checks are accepted by the NFG.
The Northwoods Fiber Guild has supported fiber artists and taught many fiber arts in our community for over 35 years.
