Paging Through a Reading Wonderland Grand Marais Library’s Winter Reading Program is back!

The Grand Marais Public Library’s Reading Wonderland Winter Reading Program begins January 8 and runs through March 1, 2024. This Winter Reading Program is for all ages.

Beginning January 8th, Library Bingo cards will be available for pickup at the library or for printing on the library’s website, www.grandmaraislibrary.org. Cards contain squares with categories of books to read, such as “Minnesota author” or “Published the year you were born,” and activities, such as attending a library program or watching a movie based on a book. Every “bingo” (five squares in a row in any direction) earns a chance at a grand prize as well as smaller prizes like candy and coupons to local businesses. Kids also get a certificate for a free book from Drury Lane for their first bingo.

Kids’ grand prizes include a Lego Mania Bundle, a Gamer Bundle, and book and plush toy sets for such beloved books as Pete the Cat. For adults, there are five grand prize bundles: a Cozy Mystery Bundle, a Rom-Com Bundle, a Library Lover’s Bundle, a Crafter’s Bundle, and a Deep Dark Winter Bundle. Grand prize bundles include themed books, accessories, toys, treats, and gift certificates to local businesses.

The Winter Reading Program is made possible by the Arrowhead Library System, funding from the Library Friends of Cook County, and donations from local businesses. The Grand Marais Public Library increases knowledge, inspires creativity, removes barriers, and builds community across Cook County. Learn more about the winter reading program by calling the library at 218-387-1140, or visit us online at www.grandmaraislibrary.org.
