Janice M. Klein, 90, Two Harbors, died Friday, December 1, 2023, in Two Harbors.
Jan was born to Emil and Louise (Maas) Engen, on November 6, 1933, in Ashland, Wisconsin,
grew up in the Sanborn-Mason area and graduated from high school in Drummond in 1951. As a young lady she worked for Munsingwear Company in Ashland. She and Gordon Klein married in 1953 and lived in Milaca, Mellen, and Silver Bay, until moving to Two Harbors in 1966.
Jan was a homemaker through the years and with Gordy, enjoyed operating their family farm. Jan was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and in her earlier years was a Sunday School Teacher and church officer. As a mother, she was involved with the PTA, 4 H Club, Brownie Scouts, and Cub Scouts.
Later she became involved in the Lions Club and Two Harbors Curling Club. Jan was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Engen, and sister, Shirley Ledin. She is survived by her husband, Gordon; a son, Lee; daughters Kay (Greg) Libby and Kim (Chris) Burke; grandchildren, Steven (Brittany) Libby, Stephanie (Mike) Granke, Hallie Klein, Aria Lucarelli, Matthew Klein, and Ali Burke.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
