Sandie Beck, 83, Two Harbors, died Monday, October 26, 2026 at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1943 to Oliver and Virginia (Stanchfield) Otterblad in Cheyenne, WY. Sandie grew up and attended school in Two Harbors and later retired from Lake County Human Services.
A diehard Vikings fan, Sandie enjoyed cheering on the Vikings and sitting in the sun on the porch.
Sandie was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Beck; a grandson, Jason Veness; and granddaughters, Hope and Bailey Amesbury.
She is survived by her daughter, Jody Turnberg (Mark Veness); son, Charlie Amesbury Jr.; granddaughters Hailey and Mariah Amesbury; grandson, Cooper Amesbury; sister, Shari (Terry); stepchildren Laura, Jules, and Bruce Beck and Jody Hepola; and step-grandsons, Jeremey Schuelke and Jeremy Eskola; and good friend, Jeff Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
