Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commissioners on April 17, 2023, at 5:45 P.M. in the Lake County Highway Department Building, 1513 Highway 2, Two Harbors, MN 55616, at which time interested parties shall have the opportunity to discuss the granting of the following request:
In accordance with Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, an application for a Conditional Use has been filed by David Cizmas on behalf of Lake County Forestry Department, which, if approved, would allow for an 11,000-foot reroute of a snow-mobile trail, utilizing a pre-WCA timber access road, to connect the State and Yukon Trails. The area in question includes fourteen (14) parcels, 40-acres each, within Sections 4, 5, 29 and 32; Townships 54 and 55, Range 10W, Zoned F-R/Forest-Recreational, 10-acre minimum; all in Silver Creek Township.
