The Good Harbor Hill Players invite the community to help launch the magic of the 2026 Summer Solstice Pageant with a festive Kick-Off Party and Puppet Making Workshop on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, from 6-8 PM at the Cook County Community Center. This family-friendly evening will celebrate the return of summer with music, light refreshments, and hands-on puppet making, giving attendees a sneak peek into the creative fun behind one of Grand Marais’ most beloved events.
Following the party, the 2026 Summer Pageant Workshops will be held at the same location from Thursday, May 28th through Sunday, June 14th, giving the community a chance to contribute directly to the pageant’s puppetry, costumes, and set creation. Public workshops are open:
• Thursdays & Fridays: 3 PM–8 PM
• Saturdays & Sundays: 10 AM – 1 PM and 3 PM – 8 PM (No public workshops on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays)
The Summer Solstice Pageant Performance will take place on Saturday, June 20th at 8 PM. In the event of rain, a rescheduled performance will be held on Sunday, June 21st at 2 PM at the same location. All are welcome to participate in the workshops and performances. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to collaborate, create, and celebrate the season.
