Country Music Icon Sammy Kershaw to Headline Two Harbors Heritage Days Street Dance

TWO HARBORS, MN (April 2, 2026) — Lovin’ Lake County, Lake County’s destination marketing organization, announces that Sammy Kershaw, the Grammy-nominated performer who helped shape and make the ‘90s a shining decade for country music, will headline the Heritage Days Street Dance on July 10, 2026, in downtown Two Harbors, MN. The outdoor concert is free and open to the public.

Having amassed three platinum and six gold albums, Sammy Kershaw is well-known for hits, such as, “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer”, “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “National Working Woman’s Holiday,” “Love Of My Life,” and “Cadillac Style,” among other chart-topping songs.

Over the past couple of years, the Heritage Days Street Dance has attracted thousands of people downtown, and we predict a fantastic turnout again this year. Local up-and-coming country musicians Rafe Carlson and Ricky Carl will open the concert.

Two Harbors Heritage Days, held the weekend of July 9th-12th, is an annual summer festival that celebrates the community’s rich history and North Shore spirit.

Featuring live music, local food, a parade, street dance, classic cars, and family-friendly events throughout the weekend, the lively tradition brings residents and visitors together on the shores of Lake Superior.

Iconic country entertainer Sammy Kershaw has earned three platinum and six gold albums, with more than 5 million records sold and nearly 100 million songs streamed. Texas-style from the North

Ricky Carl delivers a country sound with plenty of influence. Taking inspiration from traditional country artists and contemporary rock groups, Ricky Carl’s music reflects an appreciation for the classics with a modern sound.

Ricky has generated a following by playing in bars around the Northland. In 2025, he opened for the legendary Bellamy Brothers and also performed in the 2025 Concert In The Corn.

He was named the Duluth News Tribune’s 2nd place “Local Band” of the year in 2023 and 2nd place “Best Artist” in 2024. Ricky Carl now has aspirations to write and record a full album with the hope of making it out to Nashville, TN.

His debut EP, released in 2024, reveals his rock influence in “Where The Good Times Are,” with heavy-driven guitars and over-the-top drums. His country-rooted influence is showcased prominently in the calm “Take It From There” and the lively “So Long (Have A Good Summer).

About Rafe Carlson

Fast-rising Country artist Rafe Carlson (pronounced RAYF) was only 22 years old when he left his job selling RVs in his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota and bought a one-way ticket to Nashville to bring his unique Northwoods edge to songwriting rooms up and down Music Row.

Since then, the Midwest native has garnered over 65,000,000 views on social media, worked with Grammy-winning producers and prolific hit songwriters in Nashville, and landed endorsements with brands like Fender.
