The City of Silver Bay is accepting applications for the full-time position of Equipment Operator whose primary function is to operate powered equipment to maintain streets, roads, sidewalks, recreation areas, airport, boulevards, cemetery, and all other city properties. This position also maintains equipment, buildings, and other municipal facilities; cooperates with and assists other departments; and may serve as the Acting Department Head in the absence of the Department Head.
Applicants must have a valid Class “A” commercial drivers license with tanker endorsement, be physically able to perform strenuous work, and demonstrate the skills to operate heavy and light equipment and hand tools properly and efficiently. Post-secondary technical education is heavy equipment operation is desirable. The 2025 wage range is $26.50-$33.12 per hour, depending upon qualifications.
