It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Knaffla, who peacefully left this earth on May 11, 2024. Howard was born on March 24, 1954, a man whose candidness was as much a fabric of his nature as his loving and caring spirit.
A devoted father, Howard is survived by his beloved mother, Faye Knaffla and daughters, Tracy Knaffla, Emma Knaff-la, Misty Dalton, Sarah Hake and Abby Thompson. To know him was to understand the value of honesty and the necessity of his sometimes blunt truth. He was a man who believed in doing whatever was necessary, a trait that he considered one of life’s crucial teachings and shared generously with those around him.
Even in death, Howard continues to teach us about resilience and facing challenges head on. It is only fitting that we honor his memory by embodying these values. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on May 31, 2024, at 12:00 PM at The Melrude Town Hall, where we will remember and rejoice in a life well-lived.
Howard’s life was one of purpose, defined by courageous love, honesty, and the ability to care deeply for those close to him. His memory will live on through the lessons he left us, and his legacy will continue to shape the lives of those he touched.
