During Fire Prevention Week (October 8-14), Tofte Fire & Rescue members talked with the students and Saplings in the gym at Birch Grove School about home fire safety, “Stop, Drop, and Roll” and answered many “What if…” questions during their visit.
Craig Horak asked the children to take their fire safety booklet home and review it with the adults in their household. Then everyone went outside and rotated to three different areas; the EMT van, the firetruck with the big ladder, and the favorite, the firehose! Everyone got to take home a goodie bag that included a cool red fire hat. Many thanks to Tofte Fire & Rescue for sharing important information with Birch Grove children during Fire Prevention Week! You do good work!
