Duluth Township, Minn. – Participants of the Clover Valley Farm Trail will hold the inaugural Clover Valley Farm Fest from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Agate Acres Farm, 1109 Two Harbors Road. The event will celebrate the local farm community and the summer’s harvest with farmers market vendors, informational exhibits, demonstrations, food for purchase, music, and much more.
Pat Berger, an event coordinator, sees the event as an opportunity for community members to learn more about the Farm Trail and local small farms, “This is a wonderful opportunity for farmers to connect with consumers and vice-versa. Most people don’t get to meet the people who grow their food. Plus, we all will have a chance to enjoy some entertainment and meet new friends.”
The Clover Valley Farm Trail is a group of 11 locally-owned, small farms located between Duluth and Two Harbors. The Farm Trail provides farmers the opportunity to sell items commonly found at farmers markets directly from their farms. Fresh produce, plant seedlings, baked goods, crafts, and other items are sold from self-serve farm stands on Sunday’s through the end of October.
