The North Shore Storm Girls 12UB hockey team can add another trophy to their case after last weekend’s home tournament in Two Harbors.
In the first game of the weekend, the Storm met up against Delano for a shutout and the win (4-0). In the second matchup against Northern Tier, the team toppled their opponent with a win of 16-0 and another shutout for their goalie. Their third game against Cannon River was no problem for this group of girls. They only gave up one goal with a final score of 10-1. The Championship game was a jaw-clincher against West St. Paul. Ending in a tie at the end of regulation time, the two teams battled it out in a double overtime event, pulling out a win of 4-3 and earning the championship trophy!
