Storm Boys’ Hockey Team Attends Bill McGann Holiday Classic

The North Shore Boys Hockey Team spent part of their holiday break from school playing at the Bill McGann Holiday Classic, which was held from December 27th through December 29th. The event took place at the St. Luke’s Sports and Event Center in Proctor, MN.

In their first game, the North Shore Storm played the Somerset Spartans and forced them into an overtime shootout. Only two goals were scored throughout regulation, withy eighth grader #13 Kade Norman getting an assist from Silver Bay’s junior #12 Jacob Carpenter, within the first thirty seconds of the game. Unfortunately, the next goal was in overtime, and it was Somerset who scored it.

The following day, the team was set up against Hopkins in a Consolation Semifinal game. Kade Norman would score the Storm’s only goal of the game, with an assist from #29 Jake Stadler. Stadler is a junior, also from Silver Bay. Hopkins was able to score a shorthanded goal in the second period and an even stronger goal in the third, leaving the final score as 2-1 Hopkins.
