BASEBALL

Two Harbors

Two Harbors dropped a tight one at Barnum on April 23, falling 2–1. Their April 27 doubleheader against Cromwell‑Wright was washed out, and their April 28 trip to Carl‑ ton/Wrenshall wrapped after press time. The Agates head to Silver Bay on May 5 for a 4 PM matchup.

Silver Bay

Silver Bay kept their early momentum rolling with a 13–3 win over Carlton/Wrenshall on April 21, then held off Cook County 13–10 at home on April 24 to stay unbeaten. That streak came to an abrupt end later the same day when Ely handed them a 25–2 loss.

The Mariners were slated to face South Ridge on April 23 and host Cromwell‑Wright on April 30, with results to come in the next issue. They host Two Harbors on May 5 at 4 PM.

Cook County

Cook County finally strung together some games after a stretch of postponements. They fell 15–0 to South Ridge on April 22, then traveled to Silver Bay on April 24 for a doubleheader. The Vikings lost to Ely 11–1 before dropping a 13–10 game to the Mariners. Their April 27 game against Carlton/Wrenshall was post‑ poned. They were scheduled to host McGregor on April 28, with results to be report‑ ed soon. Hill City/Northland comes to Cook County on May 4 for a 4 PM start.

SOFTBALL

Silver Bay

The Mariners continue to look sharp. After Duluth East snapped their streak on April 20, they bounced back with a 10–5 win over Mountain Iron‑Buhl on April 22 and a 16–1 home win over Flood‑ wood on April 23.

At the Proctor tournament on April 25, Silver Bay put together a strong run: a 16–8 win over Warroad, a 12–7 win over Barnum, and a 6–1 victory over Duluth Denfeld.

They were set to face South Ridge on April 28 and Carlton/ Wrenshall on April 29. The Mariners host Two Harbors on May 4 at 4:30.

Cook County

Cook County has battled through a string of postpone‑ ments. They were scheduled to host McGregor on April 28 and Floodwood on April 30. A doubleheader against Chisholm is set for May 1, followed by Stella Maris Academy at Wade Stadium on May 4.

Two Harbors

Two Harbors fell 11–0 to Barnum at Odegaard Park on April 23 but rebounded quickly with a 15–0 win over East Central on April 25. Their doubleheader with Cromwell‑Wright was postponed.

The Agates were slated to play Carlton/Wrenshall on April 28 and South Ridge on April 29. They travel to Silver Bay on May 4.
