Robert E. “Bobby” Carlson, 90, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Waterview Shores. Bob was born January 20, 1935 to Earl and Pauline (Armata) Carlson in Ironwood, Michigan, where he grew up and attended school. After his marriage to Shirley Chipperi in 1956, they moved to the North Shore where they raised their family. Bobby was employed at Reserve Mining Company on their railroad for 30 years, and later worked in maintenance for the City of Two Harbors and Lake County.
Bobby was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed gardening, watching his grandchildren play hockey and Jolly Rancher candies.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; sisters and brother, Rose, Shirley, Jean, William and Susie; and a grandson, Jeremy.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Rich) Moen, Sandy (Tom) Carlson, Dennis (Wendy) Carlson, and Debbie Nelson; grandchildren, J.J. (Kelly) Hraban, Mandy (Rachel) Hraban, Shawn (Heather) Carlson, Corey Carlson, Casey (Katty) Carlson, Tanya Nelson and Tyler Carlson; and six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Stanley and Rick.
