With gratitude we celebrate the gift of Lynn’s life and in faith place her in the arms of our loving God. Lynn has blessed us with 82 years sharing her positive and joyful presence and seeing the best in others.
Lynn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing in both the Duluth and the Two Harbor bands. She was a talented artist, an adventure seeker, and a lover of nature. She especially loved the North Shore and Lake Superior.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 31 years, John Szarke; her children Dan (Kalen), Matt (Kerri), Jerry (Karen), Jim (Kim), Jenni (Dan) Hill and Karyn; 10 grandchildren; Mia, Jesse (Jensine), Cameron (Natasha), Payton (Emily), Graden (Carolyn), Tate, Olivia, Zach, Max and Elin; great-granddaughter Loretta; siblings twin sister Gail Stoffel and brother Ed Marcotte (Linda); in-laws Betty and Don Skoglund, Jim and Dianne Szarke. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Roberta, brother-in-law Rick, and nephew Tom.
The family would like to express our deep gratitude to St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional support and care the last months of Lynn’s life.
There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Lynn’s life in the summer.
Memorial donations are welcome to the World Vision organization. http://www.worldvision.org
The prayer that shaped Lynn’s life of love was: “May I see myself as God sees me, become that person, and then use me.”
