LaVerne “Corky” Lee Olson passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at his home in Silver Bay, MN. He was born July 2, 1951 to Regina and LaVerne Olson.
Corky enjoyed life in Northern Minnesota and worked as a logger his entire life and one of the best fishermen the Northland has ever known.
He is survived by three sisters and a brother, Natalie Shilts of Fifield, WI, Vicki Holden of Backus, MN, Michael Olson (Tracy) of Grand Rapids, MN and Teresa Nelson (Mark Thums) of Finland, MN.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph Olson.
A Celebration of Life will be open to the public on August 5, 2023 from 1-4 PM at the Clair Nelson Center in Finland, with a light lunch served.
