James Falkinburg – Gillis, age 28, passed away on September 19, 2023, in his home.
He was born on March 14, 1995, in Duluth, Minnesota. James grew up in St Paul, MN and moved to Mesa, AZ a few years after graduation to pursue work opportunities with his best friend Anthony.
James made his home in Mesa with his fiancé, Joan. James is survived by his fiancé, Joan Prinz, his parents Sean and Beth Gillis, and his siblings: Krys (Kendra) McLaughlin, Sarah (Austin) Gillis, Libby (Jack) Ell, and Amanda Falkinburg. He was a loving uncle to his nieces, Grace and Faye, and nephew, Alex.
James also leaves behind his grandfather, Donald Sunde, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Gillis, his grandparents Henry and Patricia Gillis, Linda Nylen Sunde, and his uncle, Mike Sunde. Services for James Falkinburg – Gillis will be held at the Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors, MN on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2 PM.
