Ikse Jenna Mennen, age 29, of Two Harbors and St. Paul, died 22 January 2025 peacefully in the presence of loved ones. In the two years since metastasis was discovered, Ikse continued to canoe, climb, hike and camp, while also spending time volunteering with the League of Women Voters and Concordia Language Villages. Ikse is survived by mother Susan Hough of Two Harbors, father Paul Mennen of Sunnyvale, CA, brother Alex Mennen (Isabel Juniewicz), and many beloved friends and chosen family.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 2 pm Sunday March 9th at the First Unitarian Society in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Cancer Research Institute, the Clean Air Task Force, the Clean Energy Innovation Program, the Coalition for Rainforest Nations, or the Ikse Mennen scholarship at Concordia Language Villages.
